How do I use InvoiceGenerator?
Making a document
Work through the form top to bottom: your business details, who it's going to, the line items, and any VAT, discount or shipping you want to add. What you see in the form is basically what ends up on the finished PDF.
Downloading
Click Print / Save PDF when you're ready. On desktop, the PDF downloads straight to your device automatically — no print dialog, no extra steps. On mobile, it opens in a new tab with a Download / Share button. If you don't see it right away, check your device's Downloads folder.
Saving and editing past documents
As a guest, each document you download is kept in this browser's local storage automatically, so you can reopen and adjust it later without needing to register.
You can find your past documents on the History page. Click on a document to reopen it in the editor with all your details already filled in. You can also export your whole history to a spreadsheet file with the Export button.
Individual documents can be deleted from the History page with the trash icon next to each row. Clicking Erase Everything removes all saved documents from this device.
System requirements
InvoiceGenerator works in any modern browser released in the last few years — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge — on desktop or mobile. Your browser needs JavaScript and local storage enabled, which is on by default in all of these.
Where does InvoiceGenerator store my documents?
Nowhere but your own device. InvoiceGenerator uses your web browser's local storage to remember your documents, without requiring an account. We never receive, upload, or keep a copy of your invoice data on our servers.
That also means clearing your browser's data wipes those guest documents for good — we have no copy to restore. For anything you want to keep long-term, either hold onto the downloaded PDF, export your History to a spreadsheet, or simply create a free account so it's saved properly.
Which document type should I use?
- Invoice — request payment for goods or services you've delivered.
- Quote — propose pricing before the work begins, for a client to approve.
- Purchase Order — a buyer's formal request to a vendor to supply goods or services.
- Credit Note — issued to a client to reverse or reduce a previous invoice.
